Roughly seven years ago, I woke up feeling exhausted, both physically and mentally. I had just returned from Pamplona, Spain, where my brother and I ran with the bulls for five consecutive days, then hopped a flight to Ibiza for a few days of R&R.
When I returned, I jumped right back to my day job as Director of Sales for a medical device company and my “hobby” of Mixed Martial Arts and boxing. Six days a week, I worked 10 hours while training twice a day for an additional 3-5 hours.
My body was starting to revolt.
My Life on the Edge
Most of my adult life has been one continuous adrenaline rush.
From wakeboarding, kiteboarding, and skydiving (over 130 jumps and counting) to bungee-jumping, snowboarding, bow hunting, and fishing, these are the passions that make life worth living for me. I am also a travel junkie, to boot. I still get butterflies every time I get on a plane for an overseas adventure.
But this time I had overdone it. Although I was only 28 years old, I felt more like 80.
The Turning Point
Fortunately, one of my MMA trainers knew a chef who prepared meals especially for athletes. She started dropping off 25 meals every Sunday that she had prepared in her kitchen. The results were incredible and immediate.
Within a week I noticed not only a significant improvement in my physical performance in the cage, but even more so in my productivity at work.
I was thinking better and had more energy than ever before; I slept better and finally felt like I was firing on all cylinders!
I always knew that eating right makes a difference, but I never dreamed it could make that much of a difference.
Years later I discovered the medical research showing that 75 percent of our performance is determined by what we eat before and after we go to the gym, and only 25 percent by the workouts we do. Those numbers are life-changing in every sense of the word.
And that’s how Factor 75 was born.
As time went on, I started to wonder how many other people are stretched on time? How many others strive for healthy eating but rarely have the time, knowledge, or skill to do so?
What if I could take the incredible results I got from a personal chef and make them accessible to every other like-minded, performance-driven individual who wants to make everyday an adventure…
